Iconographies #81: Adoration after Botticelli

2016

Adoration of the Magi, 1475 | Sandro Botticelli

Series of prints generated from the algorithmic analysis of Botticelli’s masterpiece Adoration of the Magi. Composition, color-schemes and geometrical features of the source painting are analyzed to reveal new abstract formations. Delving beneath its iconographic appearance, the work celebrates new algorithmic and non-human aesthetics.
